Milena Govich

 

Milena Govich (Serbian born on October 29, 1976) is an American actress as well as a director, singer as well as a dancer famous for her role as NYPD Detective Nina Cassady on the television show Law & Order.



 



 Education and early life



 Govich was born in Norman County, Oklahoma. Dr. Bruce Michael Govich (who died in the year 1998) as well as Dr. Marilyn Green Govich [2was a professor of music. Marilyn teaches voice at University of Central Oklahoma, while Bruce was a professor at University of Oklahoma. Her father is Serbian and her mother is of Scottish and English origins. Milica Govich her aunt is also an actress and has been on Broadway and on television and film.



 



 Milena was valedictorian of Norman High School's 1995 class. In the footsteps of her academic parents she graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1995 as valedictorian. She was awarded a double-degree in both performance and premedical studies, as well as the option of a minor in violin as well as dance. Govich was able to move to New York City after graduation to pursue a career in acting.
